1. Distortion: n. 扭曲, 变形, 曲解
Original:
distort function: verb; Inflected forms:dis·torts; dis·tort·ed; dis·tort·ing
Meaning:
1 : to change the natural, normal, or original shape, appearance, or sound of (something) in a way that is usually not attractive or pleasing [+ obj]
For example:
▪ Her face was distorted by pain.
▪ The odd camera angle distorted her figure in the photograph.
▪ The sound of the guitar was distorted. [no obj]
▪ Heat caused the plastic to distort.
2 [+ obj] : to change (something) so that it is no longer true or accurate
For example:
