1.0 L.O.I. OF RECYCLED SAND 再生砂的灼烧减量
2.0 PURPOSE 目的
2.1 To monitor the binder residue in reclaimed sand. Objective is to keep LOI as low as is
possible. High LOI affects the fluidity of the mixed sand (more difficult to flow and to fill in deep corners, pockets, etc) and the bulk density of the filled sand. High LOI also decreases the sand mechanical strength, and further causes Gas defects in castings.
监察再生砂的树脂残留量。目标是把灼烧减量保持在最低水平。高灼烧减量影响树脂砂的流动性能
(对较深处、冷角处充砂较困难)和降低型砂密度。高灼烧减量也使树脂砂的強度减弱,并增加气

3.0 TARGET RESULTS 目标成绩
3.1 Target to <2.5% 目标是少于百分之2.5
3.2 Beyond 3.0% will lead to weaker sand strengths, hence weaker molds/cores, tendency to metal penetration and gas defects
如果超过百分之3、砂強度将减弱、造成模与芯强度不足,增加粘砂和气孔缺陷的机率。
3.3 Nitrogen level in reclaimed sand <0.15%
再生砂的含氮量应该少于百分之0.15。
4.0 TEST PROCEDURES 检验手册
4.1 Laboratory procedures

4.2 At least once per week. More tests will be necessary when results are continuously beyond higher limits, or show an upward trend.
每周最少检测一次,如果检验结果一直保持在上限或是有上升趋势,必须增加检验频率。
4.3 Analyse sand sample before Reclaimer, and sand sample after Reclaimer. This is to monitor the efficiency of the Reclaimer. The Reclaimer must be calibrated to perform at manufacturer’s specifications.
砂再生前后样本检验可鉴定再生系统的效率,再生系统必须调试至功率符合作业标准。
4.4 Nitrogen analysis is outsourced from external Laboratory. Frequency: quarterly when condition is stable. Increase the frequency when LOI constantly high, or previous reading was high.
定期检验砂的含氮量。当含氮平稳时、频率应为每季度一次。如果灼烧减量持续偏高或前次检验结果顕示偏高,必须增加检验频率。
5.0 DATA COLLECTION 资料收集
5.1 Results to be plotted on Control Chart for monitoring.
把结果以图表方式展示、便利于监察。
6.0 READINGS 数据
6.1 Target Result to be <2.5% 目标成绩必须少于百分之2.5。
6.2 An upward trend will indicate 如果数据上升示意。
a. deteriorating efficiency of Reclaimer. 再生系统功能退化。
b. excessive usage of Resin, hence resin residues had built up。
过量使用树脂、造成残留增加。
c. excessive Sand-to-Metal Ratios. 砂铁配比太大。
7.0 FACTORS INFUENCING LOI 影响灼热减量的因素
7.1 Continual improvement to keep Sand-to-Metal Ratio low. Target 3:1
改善并降低砂铁配比率、目标为3:1。
7.2 Ensure New Sand addition is implemented accurately and correctly
确保新砂的加入量准确与正确执行。
7.3 Efficiency of Reclaimer
再生系统的效率。
7.4 Optimum Resin Dosage
